I am an 88 year old resident of Hawaii. Recently I fell, injuring my hip, and was required to stay in the hospital for two weeks. Three different times, ice packs were used to bring down the swelling and inflammation. I found them to be very uncomfortable and they melted and leaked into my bed. It caused me a great deal of pain when the staff had to move me to change the sheets. Though I needed the relief, I stopped requesting the ice packs.
